Cortana removes voice activation for Android

A few weeks ago we saw that Cortana, Microsoft's voice assistant, was already available for the Android operating system. But it seems that his arrival on the Google platform has not been as positive as expected, to the point that he has found a lot more problems than could be expected.

Thus we have known that the voice activation command Hey Cortana! has had to be removed from the enforcement, due to the failures it caused in the phones.

Hey Cortana! It will no longer serve to turn on the application (for now)

Cortana voice command issues

One of the problems that many Cortana users encountered was that the microphone was deactivated, every time voice activation was used, what a mistake!

In addition, some had also noticed that the activation button of Google Now it was disappearing as soon as they started using Cortana. In other words, although the two voice assistants had to coexist peacefully, the truth is that the one from Microsoft was trying to eliminate the one from Google.

These are pretty serious problems, so Microsoft has chosen to cut to the chase and remove this option at least until they find a way to fix them.

Google Now, now more effective

One of the conclusions that we can draw from these problems in Cortana is that, at least for now, on Android it is much more practical to use Google Now to resort to the Microsoft assistant. Let's keep in mind that Google Now is completely optimized for android, has not given significant problems and is also available in Spanish, which is not the case with Cortana.

Keep in mind that Cortana has just arrived at the Google Play Store, so it is likely that in the not too distant future, they will begin to solve these first problems. But right now, if we want a completely effective voice assistant, Google Now is the best option.

Have you tried Cortana? Is it more or less practical than Google Now? Have you found the mentioned problems? At the bottom of this page you will find the comments section, where you can tell us your opinion and sensations in the use of this voice assistant, in which it seems that there is a cold war between big companies like Google and Microsoft. That using Cortana makes the Google button disappear is disturbing to say the least. We were left in this case “open-mouthed”, “ojiplático” and “gawked”.

    Cortana killed the assistant
Yesterday I installed Cortana because I read an article in which it said that it already had Spanish included, but it wasn't, so I uninstalled it.
But to my surprise, it disabled the Google Assistant, apart from removing it as the default assistant, and now it won't allow me to activate it, since I get the grayed out options and tells me that it is no longer the default assistant.
How can I make Google Assistant my default assistant again?
