If you're looking for a phone that won't let you down mid-day and can handle daily use without breaking a sweat, the HONOR X7e is a great all-rounder. It excels in the price-to-performance ratio, offering features that put it above the most basic entry-level phones, while maintaining a reasonable price for those who don't need top-of-the-line raw power.
This device doesn't try to deceive anyone; it gets straight to the point, prioritizing massive battery life and durability . It's the ideal companion for those who spend hours away from home, whether studying or working, and who want to forget about carrying a charger in their backpack as if it were an essential accessory.
A design that breaks with monotony
The first thing that catches your eye is its aesthetics. While most budget phones are limited to gray or black, the X7e dares to offer the Sunrise Orange color , although Sky Blue and Midnight Black variants are also available. The body is made of plastic, which is to be expected in this segment, but the finish is solid and it doesn't feel like a toy, with a standout oval camera module that gives it a modern and sophisticated touch.
In terms of dimensions, the device is relatively compact, measuring approximately 8,3 millimeters thick and weighing around 200 grams. Most surprisingly, despite its size, it houses a massive 7500 mAh battery . This translates into complete peace of mind, allowing you to use GPS, browse the web, or watch videos for hours without the battery level dropping dangerously low.
Screen and visual fluidity
The screen is a 6,61-inch TFT LCD display. What truly sets it apart is the 120Hz refresh rate , which makes browsing social media platforms like TikTok or Instagram incredibly smooth, eliminating the typical screen tearing common on conventional displays. However, the resolution is HD+ (1604 x 720 pixels), so if you're particularly demanding when it comes to the sharpness of small text, you might notice that it doesn't quite reach the level of a Full HD+ panel.
Performance and storage
Under the hood, we find the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra processor , supported by 6 GB of physical RAM (which can be virtually expanded via HONOR RAM Turbo). It's not a machine for playing ultra-demanding games with maximum graphics settings, but for everyday use, it's more than adequate. Applications like WhatsApp, Gmail, and Chrome run smoothly and without any issues.
One major plus is undoubtedly its 256 GB of internal storage . It's a relief not to have to delete photos or apps after just a few months of use, as it offers ample space to store everything you need. As for read and write speeds, the storage performs adequately for everyday use.
Photography and multimedia capabilities
The 50MP main sensor performs admirably in good natural light, capturing sharp shots and vibrant colors perfect for sharing on social media. For those who appreciate the finer details, there's a high-resolution mode that utilizes the full 50MP. However, when night falls or you're indoors in low light, digital noise becomes noticeable and image quality suffers, making this phone primarily suited for daytime photography.
In terms of video, the device records up to 1080p at 30 fps. One detail we're particularly pleased about is that it retains the 3,5 mm headphone jack for wired headphones, although it's fully compatible with Bluetooth accessories using SBC and AAC codecs. It also features a boosted volume mode to ensure the speaker is loud and clear outdoors.
Resistance and Artificial Intelligence
This phone is built to last. It boasts IP64 dust and splash resistance and has passed drop tests from up to 1,8 meters, earning it a five-star SGS certification. Essentially, it's a phone designed for minimal hassle and maximum use.
The big news is the AI Button , a direct physical shortcut to artificial intelligence functions. Forget navigating through endless menus; with a single touch, you can use the object eraser in photos, enhance images, or use the Circle tool for searching. This AI integration, along with Magic Portal technology , greatly speeds up switching between applications.
