January 2027: the final phase of the deployment

The HyperOS 4 rollout schedule concludes in January 2027, but that doesn't make it any less important. This final phase primarily focuses on updating televisions and wearables. It's important to note that this timeline is for the Chinese market. For the rest of the world, the beta program is already underway , and Xiaomi has begun distributing the first HyperOS 4 beta builds to program participants. The first to try it were owners of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Xiaomi 17, and the Leica Leitzphone by Xiaomi. Starting September 17, beta access will expand to the Xiaomi 17T, 17T Pro, 15, and 15 Ultra. There's no specific date yet for the global stable release, but given how the process has unfolded in the past, the worldwide rollout will most likely begin a few weeks after the launch in China.

With this update, Xiaomi aims to take a significant leap forward in its ecosystem. HyperOS 4 arrives with Android 17 as its base, a new visual design called Soft Light Glass, smoother animations, and a host of artificial intelligence features distributed throughout the system. The company has focused on improving widgets, folders, notifications, and device connectivity. The stable version is also expected to be more polished than the current betas, which often include battery issues or app compatibility problems. In any case, owners of the Xiaomi 17, Redmi K90, and K100 Pro can start planning to update when their turn comes, and the rest should receive the notification in the coming months according to the official schedule.
