Android P, version 9.0 of Google's operating system, does not yet have a commercial name. However, we already know the date on which it will be released. Not because the brand has made it official, but because it has been leaked by the famous leaker Evleaks, who has made it public on his Twitter account.
Thus, there are only a few weeks left before we can meet him, even if there are many months to go, before we receive it on our phone, if we receive it.
There is little left for the arrival of Android P
Match date with Android Oreo
Interestingly, August 20 was also the date chosen by Google last year for the launch of Android Oreo. Therefore, it seems that the company has decided to be faithful to the date of the end of August to release the new versions of its operating system for mobile phones and tablets.
The date of August 20 is the one in which the final version would reach mobiles Google Pixel. The Beta it can already be tested on these devices for some time. On the other hand, there are other devices like the OnePlus 6, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S or Sony Xperia XZ2 among others that have also been able to test the beta. These smartphones will have to wait a little longer to receive the final version, although it will probably be a matter of a few days.
What's new in Android P
Some of the most striking novelties that we can find in Android P are the smart battery and the applications adapted for mobiles with notch. But there will also be options like Wind Down, to gray out applications that we use very often, or the Google Dashboard that have not been present in the beta, but that will probably be active on August 20.
The new Pixel, for October
Currently, Pixel users who will be able to test Android P are those who have one of the models that are currently on the market. But it is planned that for the next month of October, the new models will go on sale. These phones will have Android P9.0 from the beginning, a very interesting reason to consider its purchase, if you want to have the latest Android.
Curious to try Android P? Do you think it's worth buying a Pixel to get the updates right from the start, or do you mind waiting a bit? We invite you to tell us your opinion about this version of the operating system, in the comments section that you can find at the bottom of this post.
