Chrome OS will be compatible with Android apps

A few months ago, rumors emerged that Chrome OS would disappear as such to become part of the Android operating system, but it seems that it will finally be the opposite.

Chrome OS will soon allow you to run Android applications. When and under what conditions, is something that remains to be seen and will be presented at Google IO.

This will give a new life to laptops with Chrome OS, which from now on will be able to access all the variety of apps that we can find in the Google Play Store. This would partially solve the lack of available applications, one of the great problems of the Google operating system. Chrome OS.

This is how Chrome OS will adapt to Android applications

What will happen to touch apps?

Very few Chromebooks have a touch screen, and many of the Android apps are only prepared for this type of devicesespecially the games. Is Google may announce some kind of technological innovation that improves compatibility of the apps, to use them with mouse and keyboard.

This is a useful option even for touchscreen Chromebooks, as the position of the computer makes it ergonomically difficult to use.

And it is not easy for a user interface that works equally well with keyboard and mouse, to also do so with touch. Mice and keyboards need small areas for their precision, and make it unnecessary to have an on-screen keyboard. Microsoft has been trying this on Windows for years, and still hasn't been successful. Will Google make it? It is something that we will not know until we can prove it.

A new life for Chromebooks

A Chromebook is much cheaper than a Windows computer, but their big problem is that they are less powerful and have fewer applications.

The arrival of a large number of new Google Play applications running on a non-ARM architecture, could give the option to seriously compete with Windows in the short term. In the long term we don't know what will happen. Microsoft may be trying to counter with new options, or maybe they're just waiting for Google to crash.

What do you think? Do you think this new option will put Chromebooks back in the spotlight or will it fail? Tell us your opinion in the comments section.
