To change the streaming quality, you can go into the settings and easily find the streaming quality selection option. But to change the quality of downloaded songs, the process is a bit different.
However, the general process is similar for Android and eiOS users. However, offline downloading and listening is a premium feature, and for this method to work, you need to have a Spotify premium subscription.
- Tap the Spotify app to open it.
- Tap the gear icon in the top right corner.
- Scroll down and find the option that says “Music Quality.” Tap on it once you find it and it will take you to a different screen.
- Here scroll and find the “Download” option, and tap on it. A dropdown list will appear.
- From the dropdown list, select the quality you want from Normal, High to Very High. There will be another option, “Streaming”, which will have the same options, but it is only for the songs that you listen to online.
- Once you've selected the quality of your choice, simply press back and close the settings. Now download any song you want to add to your offline library in your preferred quality.
