Perform a factory reset on HTC Desire

Performing a factory reset through the HTC Desire menu:

• From the main screen, press MENU and then tap Settings.
• Scroll down the screen, and then tap SD card & memory.
• In that menu, below, «Rest. factory data”, press and then press reset phone.

Perform a factory reset with the phone buttons:

If you can't turn on your phone or access settings, you can still perform a factory reset through the phone's buttons.

• With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button.
• Wait until three Android images appear on the screen, then release the VOLUME DOWN button.
• Tap VOLUME DOWN to select “CLEAR STORAGE”, and then tap POWER.
• Tap VOLUME UP to start the factory reset.
