In previous articles we explained how to put an Mp3 song as a ringtone on Samsung Galaxy S, mini, Ace or 3. Now we detail how to select a mp3 song or toneas the message tone and notification.
If you have a song in Mp3 format and you want to add it as a message tone in your mobile phone Samsung Galaxy S, mini, Ace, 3 or on any mobile with the operating system 2.3 Android Gingerbread, follow these steps.
First you have to create a folder called NOTIFICATIONS on the SD card (eye, in English, NOTIFICATIONS is not valid), and then copy the file with the song or mp3 tone in that folder NOTIFICATIONS. Then you go to settings, sound, notification sound, there will appear a list with all the tones, including your added mp3, you choose it and nothing else, for messages and notifications, you will hear your favorite mp3 tone or song.
If the notification tone is heard too low, this may help you, turn up the volume to mp3 ringtones for Android mobiles, Samsung Galaxy ACE, S2, etc.

hello! Does anyone know how to put the mp3 as a message tone in the galaxy S III?
I followed the instructions in the tutorial for android 2.1 in case it worked the same and it worked for the ringtone but not for the message one.

the same thing happened to me but I did this I hope it works for you I have a galaxy ace… when you connect the cell phone to the lap you display the notification window and the usb icon appears click on it and it tells you if you want to activate the usb and the cel keda deactivated just accept and you will see that the window appears on your lap to see the files of your cel at the end just click on turn off and the cel is activated I hope it works for you 😆
yes it works but you still hear the tone not the mp3
