Although the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 It has practically just landed on the market, the reality is that we already have our sights set on the brand's next flagship smartphone.
El Samsung Galaxy S9 It won't hit store shelves until 2018, but the specialized media are already starting to spill rivers of bits about the features we'll be able to find when it's officially presented.
Samsung Galaxy S9, the star of cameras
Video at 1000fps
Contrary to what has happened on previous occasions, the first rumors do not circulate around its design or its features, but rather the possibility of having a camera that records video at 1000 fps.
It would be a quality that should not surprise us too much, since last February the Sony brand already presented sensors capable of recording at this speed, designed to be inserted into mobile devices.
But the only advantage that these new Sony sensors would have is not that they can record at that enormous number of frames per second. They would also allow users to record 4K video at 60fps. This would be a very important differentiating element for the S9, which could gain ground over its rivals, thanks to users who prefer to enjoy a great camera, to record high-quality videos.
A sensor made by Samsung
However, it seems unlikely that the new Galaxy S9 will end up carrying Sony's sensor. The idea of the Korean brand is to create its own sensor, with similar features, so as not to have to depend on other manufacturers when it comes to developing its flagship smartphone. Therefore, it would be a slightly different sensor, which instead of three layers would only have two, although the final result would be similar.
This new Samsung sensor would begin to be manufactured next November, so in principle there should be no problem for it to reach the S9, which will be presented in 2018.
Do you think that a camera that records at 1000 fps is a quality that will have weight when choosing a smartphone or that it is something that most users will not give importance to? Will Samsung be able to repeat the success achieved with previous Galaxy S8 models, S7 of its star smartphones?
