As much as the data rates that we hire now, are much broader than those that existed a few years ago, the truth is that many of us continue to spend them before time, having to pay additional amounts or settle for a lower speed than desired.
The ideal way to avoid this problem is to connect whenever we can to a network WiFi, with which we can use any online service without fear of consuming our megabytes. But if you can't, there are some Tricks that can help you lengthen the duration of your data rate, without having to give up the most popular services.
Is very simple tricks which can be quite helpful.
Tricks to extend the data rate
Use an offline GPS
Many Android users think, that having Google Maps pre-installed on our android mobiles, we no longer need to download any other GPS software. However, Google's requires us to be connected to the internet whenever we are using it, which implies a fairly large expense when we make long trips, so it is preferable to look for an offline alternative or use Google maps offline, preloading the map of where we are going to go.
Compress data in Chrome
If you use Google Chrome to browse the Internet, you can activate an option that will allow you to spend much less data. To do this you simply have to go to the Settings menu and activate Data saver. In this way, the pages that we browse will first be downloaded to Google's servers, where they will be compressed, and later they will reach our smartphone with less "weight" and data consumption.
Get a data alert
En Settings>Data usage, you will be able to find an option that will allow you to set an alert that notifies you when you have spent a certain amount.
We recommend that you choose a low quantity, such as 200 or 300 MB, so you can calculate how long it takes to consume that figure and see if at the current rate of data spending, you will last the entire month with the rate you have contracted. If you see that this is not the case, you will know that it is time to "control yourself" and stop using the smartphone with mobile data, use wi-fi or extend the rate that you have contracted
Can you hold out without problems until the end of the month with the rate you have contracted? Do you use any other trick to save money? Tell us about your experience with a comment, footnotes.
RE: Tricks to avoid spending your data rate before time
What helped me a lot in this data saving issue was making some settings on my phone so that the updates of all the applications will only be executed with a Wi-Fi network.
that saves me a lot of my data.
I hope my advice helps you.
