Vivo S1 Pro with Snapdragon 665, diamond-shaped quad camera

The Vivo S1 with a water drop screen and triple cameras was launched in India in August last year. The Chinese giant has now added a "Pro" variant to the S1 lineup to provide you with a more complete camera experience.

The Vivo S1 Pro has a quad-camera setup that sits in a diamond-shaped cutout and is backed by a Snapdragon chipset, rather than the MediaTek on board the standard Vivo S1.

Vivo S1 Pro: specifications and features

Vivo is still going with a plastic build, but ups the premium factor (which is also the distinguishing factor) by adding a camera module with a diamond shape on the back.

The company painted the edges of the phone's body differently and added an accented power button to round it out.

The Vivo S1 Pro features a 6.38-inch Full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. There's a waterdrop notch at the top and a rather larger bottom bezel compared to all the other sides of the screen.

You'll also find an on-screen fingerprint scanner.

Screen Vivo S1 Pro

We have seen many phones powered by the Snapdragon 665 chipset. The same chipset runs the processing under the hood of the Vivo S1 Pro but at a rather exorbitant price. It is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

On the camera front, the Vivo S1 Pro features a diamond-shaped camera (which we first saw on the Vivo S5 in China) and includes a 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor.

It's paired with an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a dedicated 2MP macro lens.

There's also a 32MP (f/2.0) selfie camera built into the waterdrop notch on the front.

Vivo S1 Pro Cameras

Vivo S1 Pro comes equipped with a Battery 4,500 mAh with 18W fast charging support. It has all the essential connectivity options, including a port USB Type C, and runs FunTouch OS 9.2 based on Android Pie factory.
